This Scholarship Fund was established in loving memory of, Tionne “TinyT” Thomas, a young lady whose spirit, energy, and passion for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Tionne who was known for her infectious laugh, boundless enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School (MLK) in Stonecrest, GA.
While at MLK, Tionne was a shining example of the school’s values of service and excellence. She was not only an honor student but also a dedicated leader and active participant in a variety of school activities. Tionne served as the 2017-2018 Junior Class President and was a proud member of the Student Government Association. Her involvement didn’t stop there – she was a passionate and talented athlete, participating as a three-year "intangible" lacrosse player, a charismatic dancer, and a Varsity Cheerleader. Tionne also spent three years with the MLK Competitive Cheer Squad, lighting up the football field on Friday nights with her impressive "Flipping Show" and inspiring everyone around her.
The Tionne Thomas Scholarship Fund aims to continue her legacy by supporting students who demonstrate the same dedication for excellence in academics, athletics, community services, and leadership. Through this scholarship, we hope to help young individuals realize their potentials, achieve their dreams, and carry forward the spirit of service and leadership that will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
